Your first bridal fitting: what to bring and ask
A fitting starts with a conversation. You do not need to arrive knowing the exact dress; a few ideas and the details of your celebration help your stylist understand where to begin.

Share the date and the setting
Tell the team your wedding date, where you plan to celebrate and whether you are looking to buy, rent or explore pre-loved bridalwear. Mention any travel dates that affect your visits. The boutique will confirm which options and timelines it can offer.
Bring a small edit of inspiration
Save a few dresses from the catalogue, including the style names or references. Note what you like: a neckline, a clean skirt, sleeves or a dramatic train. It is useful to bring examples of details you would change too. A shortlist makes the conversation more specific without closing off other possibilities.
Think about movement and finishing touches
If you have already chosen shoes or accessories, ask the team whether to bring them. During your visit, discuss sitting, walking and the parts of the day that matter to you. A photograph or virtual portrait illustrates a look; an in-person fitting is where you can discuss the garment on you.
Ask about the individual dress
Designer size labels vary. Ask which sizes can be tried, whether the pictured dress is currently available and what ordering or alteration options the team can confirm. Share a budget if you would like help narrowing the selection. Availability, price, timings and any terms are confirmed personally before you commit.
